How do I know my New Era size?

One of the questions we get most frequently on social media is how to find your New Era cap size, especially for the 59FIFTY model. This model has a wide range of sizes, which can be very confusing, so we're going to explain how to get it right without having to try them all on.

The first thing you need to do is grab a flexible tape measure. Measure the circumference of your head at the height you normally wear your cap. If you don't have a flexible tape measure, you can use a piece of string to mark your measurement, then measure the string with a ruler or rigid tape measure.

Next, with that measurement in centimeters, you have to find the equivalent "New Era size" in the following table:

So if, for example, our head measures 57.7 cm, our size will be 7 1/4.

If it doesn't fit exactly, we recommend going up a size, as New Era 59FIFTY caps aren't flexible. And if you go down a size, it's likely to be very uncomfortable. That is, if your head measures 58 cm, we recommend choosing a size 7 3/8, even if your head size is closer to 7 1/4 in centimeters.
